A British born Indian, a face associated with brands like Tuscan Verve, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger and Zegna and an Indian supermodel, that’s Upen Patel for you. With an incredible 6’ and a charming personality, he has already won millions of hearts in India, especially of teenagers.
Born on 16th August, 1980, Upen migrated to U K from Uganda in 1984. he graduated in Media Studies from the West Herts College. From the age of 16, Upen has been modeling for various brands.
Having shot his first Hindi remix album “Sun Sahiba Sun”, Upen became the talk of the town. He was loaded with modeling assignments. He participated in the Breast Cancer Research Fashion Show held at China Whites exclusively for ‘VOGUE’ magazine. He has also done catwalk shows for London Fashion Week and Maya International held in Birmingham.
Upen has also done shows like “Daminis” and “Beranainis” for Zee TV and Sony TV respectively.
The filmography of Upen includes only a handful of films like “36 China Town”, “Shakalaka Boom Boom”, “Namastey London” and “Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon”. All the films have Upen in a very small role. Critics think that his inability to speak good Hindi, is a drawback for Upen.
Weighing 76 kgs, Upen is a total fitness freak. He works out four days a week and meditates regularly. He also ensures a balanced diet which includes more of proteins and less of carbohydrates.
Recently, Upen has been signed for designers like Wendell Rodricks, Vikram Phadnis and Westside. Rodricks is one of Upen’s personal favourite.
Though Upen is being offered a no. of films, he is patiently waiting for a good script and role. He prefers doing an action thriller and hopes to get his dream role very soon. He is in no hurry.
